Napa - 8/23 to 8/27

Considering Steve worked straight through our Philadelphia trip, we were overdue for some family time together when we got back! Luckily he had a pause at work, so we took a last-minute trip to one of our favorite places, wine country. Steve sweet-talked us into an upgrade at the Westin Napa...a gorgeous 2 bedroom suite with a balcony and amazing views. Mya had her own bedroom with her very own king-size bed. She was overjoyed!

We played with fire and went to a couple of wineries in the mornings...and were shocked and thrilled at how well-behaved both kids were! We would go back to the hotel after lunch for nap time, and spend some time outside at the hotel before dinner.

On Thursday we drove to Train Town in Sonoma, a cute little amusement park with (go figure) a train theme. There was an adorable mini train ride through the "forest", complete with a stop at a petting zoo. Mya got very excited every time the train went through a tunnel! Mya also rode in a (rather lame) coin-operated car and rode her first carousel. She really loved it there and we can't wait to go back again some time!

It was such a wonderful week...hoping we can squeeze in another family vacation before too long.
