The Carter family took its first big trip east at the end of July. Steve's work schedule has been beyond insane this summer, and there was a bit of anxiety that he wouldn't be able to join us. Thankfully he was able to fly with us both ways, but poor guy worked the entire time. I mean the entire time...we didn't even see him for dinners sometimes. At least I got a couple pictures of him on the airplane, otherwise no one would believe he was with us.
Up first was a few days with Nanny and Pop-Pop. Highlights there included swimming in Aunt Jane's pool, wading and blowing bubbles in the backyard, and a quick visit with cousin Levi. Of course Aunt Jacqui, Uncle Jim and Zachary were never far behind too!
Later in the week we took a road trip to New York City to visit Libby and Mack. Here are a couple of pictures of the fun part** of the visit...jumping on the big green sofa and playing with Mack's cool trucks and trains.
**There is no photo evidence of the not-so-fun part of the visit, which included losing my ticket to exit the parking garage, sitting in 75 minutes of traffic to reach the Lincoln Tunnel, then getting rescued by Steve and Pop-Pop on the New Jersey Turnpike because I had a migraine headache and couldn't drive anymore.
Part 2 with Bubby and G-Pa to follow soon!
