It happened this morning. Mya clearly and defiantly said "NO" for the first time. And then said it about 20 more times before she left for daycare.
Now, she has been "saying" no in her own ways for a while now...pushing my hand or toys away from her, running away from us, occasionally throwing herself dramatically on the floor. But it's just different and slightly sad to actually hear the word come out of her mouth.
I'm generally excited about all of Mya's developments and proud of each new word she masters. But am I proud of this one? As Mya would say, "NO!"
