1 month

Ben turned 1 month old on June 7. His regular checkup was on June 10 and here were his stats:
10lbs, 12oz (75th percentile - up nearly 3lbs from birth!)
21.5 inches (50th percentile - up 2 inches from birth)

Ben had picked up a wet cough during the week, and Dr. Dab didn't love what she heard. She listened to his lungs and tested the oxygen saturation in his blood. After giving him a breathing treatment of albuterol (to reduce the inflammation in his airways), she tested his oxygen again. The numbers looked a bit low, so we were sent to the hospital.

Long story short, we spent two nights at CPMC so Ben could get oxygen and additional breathing treatments. He had so many little wires attached...pulse, oxygen reading, blood pressure, oxygen delivery. Poor little guy, he was such a trooper! I think Mommy had a harder time than he did though. We're glad to be home and hope his cough goes away soon.
