Mya's 1st Birthday!
Hard to believe she came into our lives a year ago today. The time has flown.

20lbs, 8oz (50th percentile)
Mya is an advanced crawler now...thank goodness for the slippery hardwood floors, or I think she might be faster than us sometimes! Her favorite places to go are into the bathroom when one of us is taking a shower, into the kitchen to grab Major's food bowls, and over to her high chair. She's even gone vertical over the past few days...she can climb our whole flight of stairs and she's scaling boxes in the house now. I bet she'll be able to get on to the sofa within weeks.
She has 5 teeth now...two on bottom and three on top. She's fully embraced eating, and can even take little bites of bagel. Her current favorite foods are blueberries, whole slices of peach, peas and Cheerios. We're about to transition her from formula to whole milk.
We're still waiting for repeat confirmation, but we think she has said "Da-Da" and "Dog" with purpose. But it's not all the time, so we're not completely sure. When we ask her where the following things are, she almost always looks that way, showing she understands: Daddy, Major, Bottle, Sheep-Sheep (toy), Pink Dog (toy) and Chuck the Duck (toy).
Her favorite things to do now: taking baths, looking at and turning pages of books, following us around the house, taking things off shelves and out of boxes, and snuggling on her Daddy's chest.
It's been an amazing year...can't wait to see how much she'll grow and learn in the next one!
