5 weeks

Mya turned 5 weeks today. Her accomplishments:

She's starting to focus on people and things. She will fix on something for up to 10 seconds or more now. She particularly likes light...windows and lamps. She's also more and more interested in her playmat and the toys that dangle from it.

Mya has discovered music. She didn't pay much attention to it in the beginning, but turning on some music now instantly (if temporarily) calms her.

We achieved first social smiles! Still not consistent, but she smiled at me several times throughout the day today, and smiled at Daddy when he came home from work. Of course, she's still smiling when she makes a big dump, so that puts us on the same level as poop. That's ok, for a smile we'll be poop.
